Origami 3D – Watch It Fold ("the app", for iOS and Android) is an origami app for children aged 3 and up. It is built to meet the App Store Kids category and the Google Play Families program. The app does not collect personal information.

Information we collect

None. There is no account. The app does not obtain names, email addresses, location, photos, audio, contacts or device identifiers, and does not send any such information to us or to third parties.

Network

The app's own code does not use the network (the Android version does not have the internet permission). Only for purchases and restoring purchases does the app communicate with the App Store (iOS, StoreKit) or Google Play (Android, Google Play Billing). The stores handle this communication and we do not receive your payment information. The stores' privacy policies apply.

Ads, analytics and third-party tools

The app contains no SDKs for advertising, analytics, crash reporting or sign-in. The iOS version uses no external libraries. Apart from the standard Android and Kotlin libraries (such as AndroidX), the only external libraries in the Android version are for 3D rendering (Filament) and Google Play purchases (Google Play Billing Library).

Data stored on the device

Your collection of finished models, where you stopped in a model, paper colors, print settings, whether you have purchased, and settings such as sound, read-aloud, haptics and speed are stored only on the device. The app never sends them anywhere, and they are removed when you delete the app. The Android version excludes them from backups. On iPhone and iPad, they may be included in the system's device backup (such as iCloud Backup) if you use it.

Read-aloud

Steps are read aloud with the device's built-in speech features (speech synthesis on iOS, the text-to-speech engine on Android). The app does not send audio or text anywhere. On Android, the text-to-speech engine set on the device reads the text, and its provider's policy applies to that engine.

Printing and PDF

Printing the origami paper and instructions uses the system printing features (AirPrint on iOS, the print service on Android). The system sends the print job to the printer you choose; the app itself sends nothing. When you save or share a PDF, it is handed only to the app or location you choose.

Children's privacy

The app is designed for children. As described above, it does not collect information from children. Purchases, restoring purchases, printing, sharing PDFs, settings and contact (email) are behind a parent gate, and prices are not shown on the children's screens.
